    Hello Friends,

i will show you my way of painting this picture of Poison Ivy.
This is my first colored portrait painting and I hope you give me some feedback and critics.
The guide will contain images of both try.
I like every kind of contrast, B/W is my favorite but red and green is also attractive!
During the research for my „Batman Hood“ I found this picture of Poison Ivy. (and I fall in love)
I thought it would be useful to begin with black like in my B/W pictures.

So I made a stencil of paper for the darkest areas.
I spray this orientation layer with black. The backside of the stencil was prepared with a pencil for transfer.
After this I start with „Hautton“ Schmincke Colors and map the face.

Then I added the eyes and lips with green, black and Krapprot. For the hair I first painted yellow to give the red more luminosity. A lot of daggers! Also the big flower in the foreground begins with yellow then “Krapprot” and “Preussisch Blau”. Krapprot and Preussisch Blau are transparents.

Now I start with the basic textures of the face, hair and flowers. I use my electric eraser, 2 and 4mm fibre pen and eraser pen. For cleaning I use a painter brush where I cut off the handle.

So I build up the textures and spray some layers of red, Krapprot and Preussisch Blau for depth.

For more details and texture I mix 6drops of Krapprot and 1 drop of Preussisch Blau and spray many layers. With the combination of this two colors you get almost black.

The next part is the green of the eyebrows. I use the first stencil again and cut out the shape of the eyebrows. The first structures I spray freehand. With a little bit of yellow I mix a warm light green and spray some areas with it. Shadows I spray with Krapprot.

At this time I spray the background with black and make a soft transition to the hair with Krapprot and Preussisch Blau. Finally I check the colors again and sray the areas where needed. Also I give the face a last little texture with the steelwool. Not over all, just the lightest parts.

After a good clean with the brush I cover the picture with a matt varnish.
