Yay, Happy Day Cheryl
Congrats to you and your man.
Nice one Cheryl congrats
The only thing i see as a slight issue with the calendar is this, 2015 calendar with 2013 winners, so you have a 2 year gap basically. What about doing split image months? Have 2013 and 2014 on the same page? This way its more up to date, everyone gets credit, and if there is enough success in the sales, 2016 calendar would contain 2015 winners.
I concur, although the calendar would probably have to have winners from early October to early October to allow for longer delivery times, so end of the year winners might not make it in in time for a guaranteed delivery before Christmas.
Fill the empty months with runner ups? Rightful winners of the omitted months could get special cover feature on following calendar?
New day, chores to do, looking for paint time this evening... Where are we with the POM calendar? I do know some printers and could get some pricing once the format, size and so on is decided...
such a fun read.... lmao...
Off topic, but, Happy Anniversary, Cheryl... Many happy returns.
Thanks everyone! I'm sure we will work out how the calendar layout will be. Looks like there's a lot of members here who would purchase one.
Thanks Herb. Yup, my hubby robbed the cradle. LOL
Congrats cheryl hope you and yours have a great day!!
Thanks Basepaint it was a great day!
Just my thoughts about this topic.....POM Calendar!!!!What a great idea!!!
...I would be HONORED & BEAMING from joy to have this callendar including my pom photo and hang it proudly on the walls of my shop!!!
Wow, im out of the loop, I want a calendar, period, amen. Cheryl, sorry I missed your anniversary, hope it was a great day!! (Even though you got married at 12, creepy) lmao!!
And dito to Diegos post, ....even though I dont have any art for any of you to copy ol....oh, wait, wait, I give permission for someone to (copy) airbrush one of the golf carts, that I already painted
Thanks Meesh. And, NO I didn't get married at 12. LOL
I did get married young though. We had our first child four years after. So we had some time before we started our family.
No creepy backwoods marriages here. LOL
I have been reading these posts and am dammed sure how some people can be so ridiculous because all through time people have been copying others over and over ... for example take the music industry ... how many bands have recorded cover versions ... nothing said there .... how many companies emulated the apple iphone ... nothing said there and last but not least how many companies copied the original IBM computer. If that was the case not even you people who preach the copyright laws would have a computer in front of you now . So never look at it as copying, look at it as someone trying to better themselves by taking an idea and trying to resemble or better the item they are emulating.
I'm game for a calender, that would be awesome, there are some talented people here that and I would be happy to display their work
Ok, so let me get this right now. I recently sold a painting, done with bristle brushes not air, that was inspired by an artist I really like. His work influences mine. It was a landscape from my mind but influenced by his style. So does that mean I am stealing? Truly original ideas are few and far between. EVERY artist has influences, EVERY artist. And a lot of the time, if you have the eye and are educated in art, you can see the influences. Or in the case of music her the influences that compel them.
If you want your head to explode, go spend some time on deviant art looking around. If you want to accuse people, you could spend the rest of your life there doing so. Or you could hang out here and post your paintings that were influenced by OTHERS and have a good time.
If money was no object I would love one I think the pictures of the month are great.
