I've got workspace envy. I used to have a whole big room to myself but then we decided to have children. Wouldn't swap them but I may need to clear the loft or save for a conservatory at this rate. [IMG]

Ok let's try this again. For some reason I couldn't get all the pic uploaded last night. 20160823_212928.jpg there 20160823_212925.jpg 20160823_212908.jpg this is like fifteen by twenty area. I have all the electrical for extra lighting and exhaust fan done and air line coming in from my large compresor in the garage. I'm steel shoping around for the exhaust fan. I'm not sure of how much CFM I should have. Plus it needs to be explosion proof.

Here's the new space I have set up. I added a half booth with a 1300 cfm attic fan that pulls the door open to the room unless you block it with something lol. A bit overkill but I can clear a helmet or tank in there without even noticing over spray. I'm excited to be able to add some solvents to my arsenal since the wicked has been such a fight on hard surface work. Of course now I'm starting to get used to it lol.

Well its been over 3 years since i was really able to paint. Family health issues, career upsets for my wife and multiple moves but we have been in one place, everyone is well for now and careers are stable. My wife decided that she wanted to get back into sewing now that he has finished her Masters Degree and is SUPER happy with her job. I suggested a CRAFT room where we both could work. Our new house had a large unfinished part left in the basement, so I went after it. 2 months later we have an AWESOME area to do do our "crafts". This room is 11' x 22'. There are 6 5000K LED recessed ceiling lights. These have a color correction of >90. Each work area also has an adjustable light with 5000K bulbs also with >90 color correction. I have a large 60 gallon 5hp compressor in my garage that I have plumbed to my work area. I have a water trap, regulator, 6 port manifold and digital pressure gauge. Its great to have so much storage and good lighting. I realize this is quite a bit of overkill but it adds value to home and the wife is VERY HAPPY, enough said.

    Thanks guys.
I wanted to be sure that this addition to the house was of a quality to add value to the house. I think I succeeded. At the current price per square foot for houses in our area the value added is about 4x the money spent. Since we are planning on staying here until someone has to help us change our diapers (that could be any day now) the added value should help us out in our "golden years". Besides all that, the wife and i have a great place to enjoy ourselves ( craft wise ).

Looks great. I especially like the shower for when paint mixing goes way wrong, LOL. What type of finished floor are you thinking of.

I thought the shower was for colour changes so you could wash the brush out easier :)

I just move my keyboard to the side and cover my monitor with T-shirts! I have one compressor on the bottom and one on the left.
