got my classroom in a box from Dru Blair. Knocked this out way too quick but I had to play. I will say the video lessons are awesome! Great for beginner and advanced alike. Going to give it another go tonight or next week. I: super excited and went ahead and got the hair video as well. This eye I only used printer paper as I want d to conserve the Blair paper for when I have more trigger time....lol

great job Joe, you could also do this on the glass, you'd have better ability to scratch the details.

Thats why we suggest that you date and save everything you do :) its a great confidence boost to see the improvements.

Just remember that the included paper is double sided, so you can 'practise' on one side of it, but i'm like you, I save it until I know I can do the paper justice :D

plus being synthetic if you really stuff it up you can just wipe it clean and start again.

    (windex with amonia)

lol, i forget you're not all familiar with aussie slang :)

I've used windex on synthetic paper a month later and its still removed 99% of it. Red can be a bugga, it stains the paper.

    With, definately with.
Non amonia if youre using it to clean your brush, with amonia for texturing paint or 'wiping the slate clean' - Use the amonia one too for cleaning the glass when your done with that too.

Do t forget that printer paper is no good for Dru’s techniques, you did a great job considering you can’t erase on that stuff!!

Thanks buddy..I’m trying hard to catch up to you! Finally starting to not get so frustrated and having fun..all that matters. I wish I had more time to paint!

Funny thing happened at work today. I use big spray guns at work all day long. The beast is a Kremlin air assisted paint pumping beast...so, I’m spraying and all of the sudden I picked at the needle....lmao! Obviously nothing to pick at but it was like it just happened. I chuckled out loud and my boss looks at me like I’m going crazy. It was 98 in the shop today with 100% humidity...so yea, I may have been loopy a bit. The amount of paint this puts out is insane. Today I went thru 7 gallons of paint. Primer , paint, and lacquer. I really need to start wearing my mask...ughhh it’s just soooo hot

You went through 7 gallons with no mask? I'm assuming your setup is a big awesome spray booth, but even with that, you're insane.. Just my opinion.

Dude, you’re doing better than catching up!
It’s funny how the picking becomes almost a habit. Sounds like that sucker shifts a hell of a lot of paint. Next time I need to paint the side of a barn I’ll give you a shout.

Giant spray booth, and honestly the overspray never has a chance to get to me the way it’s set up. On occasion it gets me and I pay for it. I really do need to wear it more often..heck, all the time. When I have my back towards the filters I wear it because the spray then has to pass thru me to get filtered. When the heats not so bad I wear it all the time. The amount of sweat in my mask feels like it’s drowning me. I will say the boss gets on my case quite a bit about it.

In my defense, it’s not as toxic as car paint. I’m painting cabinets and we use what’s called a conversion varnish. The reducers and cleaners are pretty tame compared to say 2k.

Are you using one of those self contained air supplied ones or just the nose/mouth kind? I've never been in any atmosphere like that so I'm sure it sucks more than I imagine.
