Please understand that a high percentage of you guys have been very kind- but for a select few of you- a guy tries to submit info about an airbrush a few people have been interested in and he gets talked to like dirt called a lier about purchases and everything else- called a dot and line sprayer- a person that has been involved heavily in artists mediums for over decade- rebel air basically called me a bum that paints on side of the road- because I had to travel back and forth across country to see my sick mom in California- while finding ways to take and use my gear along the trail- man disappointed in human beings!

That's the issue with this tipe of talking, one undestand what he think/want, but it isn't what was intended to write. I, as other people here need fehaciente proof that one think is working as others claim, if I only say that one thing is better or way better, as you say, than other thing that has been used for years and years for the best known airbrush artits, You have to give a real proof of that, and not only you fanatical words. And most of all, you need to show that you are qualified to do it, I'm a newbie, so I'm not enough qualified to do something like that.
That is what at least I was trying to ask to you.
If I'm one of those people, I ask your forgivnes, if I'm not, now you know what i think.

Hi Jared, I moved the thread to Open Discussion rather than Airbrush questions. Cheers Mark

I've read through all of you posts /threads.

Removing any emotion from the posts and the underlying sentiment is that people want to see what you have produced with your stable of Japanese brushes vs Iwata's.
The statement that a picture paints a thousand words is applicable in these instances.

If you want to silence the critics then post up some pictures of your test sprays between the japenese and Iwata brushes. If you've binned them, and if you wish to have some credibility then you will need to do the tests again and take pictures.

we love seeing everyone's art work, regardless of what the artist thinks of the piece. take pics of what airbrushed work you currently have or are working on. Let people see you are who you say you are, then they have no grounds for their accusations.

If you do not wish to post up work you have done then you should expect people to be doubtful of your statements.

It would be the same as me saying I've captured a unicorn, but sorry I'm not posting pictures.

Wow.......I'd like to say how I feel at the moment but no doubt I'd be seen as the baddy, but seriously grow the fluck up...You were talking about painting with CO2 and had bugger all to do with your airbrush for starters (I assume that's the thread you mean), secondly I was actually trying to help by suggesting a way to use a standard compressor type in your car whilst you travel..heres the actual quote....

You stated...What is pita like for animals? How does co2 boil the paint? And yes was going to upgrade compressor =$300-500 for what I was looking at! Much Respect!

I replied-LOL PITA=Pain in the arse..Fluffed up, meant simply the venturi heats up the carrier solution and air/gas anyways, so meant the cold should affect it much at all. Didin't know you painted on the side of the road but easily enough sorted with a spare 12 volt deep cycle battery a small invertor and run a small tanked compressor, could mount it in the boot LOL, sound proof that a bit and just have a manifold you can plug into on the back of your car :)

Seriously, what lines are you reading..I live in a full off the grid situation so know solar well and was simply suggesting you could set such up in your car so you dont have to rely on lugging around CO2 bottles which I dont know about where you live but in Aus its illegal to transport such in your car and if you are doing so and have an accident your mum wont get to see you that trip..

I'd report this post if I was that type, but havent done so yet and wouldn't bother to do so because I understand some can at times just take things the wrong way, but I will suggest you apoligize, not for my benefit because I don't know you nor give a fluck who you are but have no doubt the mods will see I did nothing but try to help out and may have their own thoughts on you trying to publicly shame me like this..I have done nothing but tried to help here and in other area's of airbrushing, yer sure can be brash at times but showed you none of such..Was actually trying to help you..

You even liked the post LOL.....but must admit, am still like Wow :) Didn't see that one coming...but I do share your disappointment in some human beings....

And if I have said something else to you in another post, please post it up so I can perhaps understand your view...but I dont believe I have posted on many of your threads, was mainly just that CO2 thread I believe. But we are all dot and line painters..Thats what airbrushing essentially is..Dots and lines....

    Thanks @RebelAir

@jared pittman , rather than seeing this turn into a tit for tat argument that will just get everyone hot under the collar, can we ask that you contact the one of Mods directly with any particular issues you have. We follow the threads and have not specifically noted any of the issues you bring up.

    Thanks, Mark

I know im pretty new to the forum, ive been on about a year now.
But id just like to say one thing about forums.
Some people are not the best grammatically so when a point is being expressed it may not come across the way it is intended. Ive read a hell of a lot of posts on here and replies, comments etc.
My opinion is that written words can be percieved differently from one person to the next.
If the person was in front of you talking to you its possible to judge their tone, mannerisms and emotions. We dont have that luxury when reading a statement.
Ive read comments where ive had to read them 2 or 3 times because ive thought to myself are they being rude or nasty? But i believe that everyone on here is generally nice, helpful and accomodating.
As i say we are all individuals and some have thicker skins, sense of humour and sesitivity levels.
Also there are many different nationalities but the forum is written in english. This means that some posts may come across as harsh or rude but its just a matter of translation or having a second language.
The motto of the forum is spread the lovexxxxx.
I enjoy banter as much as the next man but dont like uncomfortable reading. I can also take criticism and actually think its a positive thing.
I hope ive not overstepped the mark with this post but had to put my point across.
Ive had nothing but enjoyment while being part of this forum.
Positive vibes to all maaaan lol

Yup well said. When reading assume they are for you and you may need to read more than once. Yes, quite correct, many here spend a lot of time translating form their native language. If you are not sure, ask questions to get a better understanding.

Respect what your saying, but people hate reading walls, reading in general actually so people try to abbreviate or post something quickly to help..Then some read what they want into such a post..Its a disease across all forums, Facebook etc. I generally write a lot to ensure peeps dont read nothing between the lines as being an Aussie I can be overdirect and occasionally a silly bugger but not once have I directly attacked anyone on this forum, their information maybe when its wrong but not the person for giving it unless attacked myself first when I try to tell someone their info is wrong which has also thankfully been a very rare thing here, elsewhere not so much but here it is different or was at least as most respect each other to some degree and we can disagree on things at times with no issues, but seems Jarod understands and types English perfectly well and loves to read between lines as I have no other explanation for he's post as I know i didnt say or intend what he nearly tries to quote me as saying, so do not believe this is a case of mis interpretation. What I understand less is he "liked" the post he is now calling me out on..Have done nothing but tried to help "spread the love" for close to since this forum started. Helped send a lot of peeps this way and always promote this forum as a great place, to socialise and to learn. There will always be those we get along with and those we don't but I always give everyone the same respect with my answers and the way I try to help which is to the degree I'll drop anything for anyone to help in anyway I can and have spent not hours but months of my waking life doing exactly that..for that to be rewarded with someone calling me a poor human is beyond my words atm as they will all likely be censored anyway.....really am over it..No need to penalise Jarod at all, couldn't care less atm, but hope he at least learns something about being a human being from my reply...

and btw @jared pittman am really interested in "he gets talked to like dirt called a lier about purchases and everything else- called a dot and line sprayer- a person that has been involved heavily in artists mediums for over decade"...

Where did that come from, when did I call you a liar about your purchase? Where did I use the words dot and line sprayer and I assume you know me well enough to miss quote me or perhaps better knew me better than myself what I myself was thinking at that time, maybe not, and to know I am also primarily a mixed media artist and have also used various mediums across the last 30 odd years and would actually suggest to anyone coming into airbrushing that such training in other mediums is invaluable..I wouldn't diss anyone for such..In fact I encourage across many of my posts that people wanting to learn to go and watch acrylic artists how to's or watercolor or drawing as it all relates and gives a great foundation to airbrushing..Perhaps know a little more about someone your calling a bad human, perhaps know that my videos I feel have helped thousands learn how to airbrush, yet rarely ever receive a thanks except from the rare few, know that I spent 3 years doing community courses to kids that are running of the rails to teach them airbrushing for free and some of them are now employed spraypainters in body shops and the like. Know that each year I try to airbrush a shirt or two to put under the Christmas Tree at the salvation army for poor kids..Perhaps know that this bad human has managed to do all this whilst looking after and being a carer for he's sick wife and child who has autism and epilepsy. That everything I do in the airbrush world I've only been able to do because my whole world got turned upside down when she got ill and I found myself with a need to have a cple hrs a day for my own desires. We had to survive, went from earning close to 2 grand a week to practically nothing, so know this bad human bought a country block so we could at least survive and not loose everything we had worked for, one who lives with he's environment and is fully self sufficient, grow my own vegies to feed my family, collect my own power and water, take care of my wife and child and then on top as he's relaxation comes on sites like this to help the likes of you..and I'm a bad human? Rant over.....

...and if you want a uncensored version of me basically telling you to get flucked without having to read between the lines this time..PM me..I'll happily oblige. Would rather the rest of the good folk here dont have to read crap like this...especially my reply as the more I'm thinking about your comments, the more annoyed I'm getting, so best to log off.....Thanks for a great start to my day....

    Max Respect to you rebel.
I hope you dont think my post was directed at you or any one individual.
I dont take sides and love the help and sacrifice of time that the artists on here give.
Youve always given me help and positive feedback, as has everyone else. Didnt mean to get anyones backs up, my post was meant to express positivity.

On a lighter note rebel i read your post to myself in an australian accent......it came across angrier than how it was written!lol

@Ricktarsprayer75 have no issue at all with your post :) LOL, funny thing is if you go watch my vids, no doubt I sound exactly like I type LOL, an okker Aussie. At times that comes across as direct, I do understand that as I've been taught to question things rather than take everything at face value and some really hate to be questioned, especially if they havent the knowledge to back up their opinions or know what to do when they come across someone that has...My old mans fault on that one but if I question something, I generally try to do so politely, if I'm annoyed at someone, the way I write due to that directness will leave no line unwritten, anyone reading such will know I'm annoyed because I'll state it. I come from a world of disagreement but one that respects such as its the only way we learn and grow, I loved debating at school and with me old man ;) and I'm happy when someone points out an inconsistency in something I say or the like as it means I may have just learnt something by their experiences. Some peeps personality;s here are like that also, some when questioned or if they think they are being questioned..attack. Again rare here but it does happen... But I'm starting to think some people are offended by dots in a sentence LOL like I do a lot..All that is is me representing that I took a breath LOL, but think some interpret such differently, unfortunately an issue on the net..Like all here though if I'm having a fun poke at someone, I represent such by using the LOL if you havent noticed above..and I also always have fun at myself before another or in the same breath..In fact I can be quite rude to myself at times :) but do try to respect others, which is why this post has shocked me a bit..If I had been nasty or posting when drunk which I try to avoid these days LOL I could understand it and would be the first to publicly apoligize for such...But hey thats just me..Like me or hate me I don't care..My only desire and the only reason I keep coming back because I may just help one more person and thats all I have endeavoured to do here and will perhaps continue to do..but am getting past caring who I help or who I don't when waking up to such sillyness, I was seriously trying to tell the guy there was another alternative if travelling and painting with CO2 in he's car so dunno how it came across as an attack no matter the voice you read it in. I do markets often to keep ourselves going so travel and paint myself LOL. I though get a powered stall because its the market scene thats my main focus atm but if need be a little invertor a 12 volt battery and you can paint anywhere. Which in fact I plan to setup in the 4wd so I can plein-air paint some more and get a cheaper stall without power needs as I'll do that bit myself as nothing beats standing in front of what your painting..But all good, getting over it after my rant...Turning into amusement rather than spite...But still deserve an apology from the poster :) ;) LOL.................

lol Because no one understands Australian accents or sarcasm. lol

I agree that things written are often taken the wrong way. However taking things out of context is an entirely different matter.
Rebel has not called anyone a liar or a dot-line artist.
They were words from others posts that have been focused on by Jared.
When you've been here for longer than 5 minutes or take the time to learn about the different personalities here then you have the right to pull a member up for being rude or aggressive. Your first stop as an adult is to PM the member and ask if you have misunderstood what has been written. If the aggressiveness or bullying continues then by all means speak to a mod.

ummm, I think that part of the problem we have right here could be that Jared Pittman may have misidentified the person that called his work into question - I do not think it was RebelAir at all - I am pretty sure he was not part of the original conversation at all :sour:

I found 3 posts from 3 different user for the 3 comments that Jared is concerned about.

Rebels was the one regarding 'painting on the side of the road'
    - "being a bum that paints on the side of the road" is Jareds interpretation !!
