water based clear coat ???

    Worth a shot. I mean its basically an iso 2k except its moisture activated instead of catalyst activated.

    Sounds good, still I gotta try it on a panel or something.

    You actually needed to sand and buff on a quad frame?
    Or was the sanding and buffing on something different?

    I was thinking it has to be moisture cure urethane. I have a pint somewhere of some stuff for lures. I forget the name, it's from the west coast. I gotta find it.....

    It wasn't the frame it was all the plastic body parts

    Hmm, ran across this waterbased clear that actually sounds good. Made by ronan , a sign paint maker which is a good indicator.
    Anyway they recommend it for automotive/motorcycles and over art.

    says for automotive vehicles and motorcycles use aquathane uv gloss

    Theres also sherclear by of course sherwin williams.
    Ive not tried either of these but did find a few good endorsements
