did you ever frame that pic i sent you squish
Yes tuckster! Her grandma has it now, and loves it. Still wish I could do it that good!
thanks.. means alot to me....and i think you are far beyond that.....you kick some azz.
Awwww, it meant a lot to me when you sent it (and still does!!!!). I can Kick azzzzzz, but as far as airbrushing goes it's more like a nudge with a big toe LOL LOL LOL!!!!!!
your way too modest....
Words of wisdom...With any new endeavor, you start at the bottom and work up. As mentioned, don't gauge your abilities on someone else s work. Go at your own pace, don't get frustrated, ask questions and do the best you can.
Great thread. Nice to see the experienced members early pics.
I don't know how I let this thread get by me after my first post. I certainly missed a lot. Awesome befores and afters. So, I figure I'll post up my first ever painting..
And some of my recent ones. .
I bought my first AB in September, 2012.
Even your first painting is cool Cheryl, it was obvious you had the gift. Not like my first splodges
Agree with squishy your first one showed skills cheryl
Thanks Squishy and Matty, you're very kind. LOL Although I was quite pleased with my first, you can see that my lines and fades were not good.
Well, I don't have anything to recent, since the Paint Pal I just sent out was the first thing I've really painted in the last year, but here are some examples of how I've progressed.
This was my very first attempt at airbrushing anything. I was ecstatic that it even somewhat resembled the reference
This was the second thing I ever airbrushed
A year and a half later, I was painting things for clients.
Then I did the bio-mechanical competition, and had a blast!
Since I haven't painted in quite a while, I feel like I've regressed quite a bit, but hopefully I can back up to speed to where I was and then keep improving.
Its so awesome to see where we started, and where we are now!! Awesome work Chery!! And holy Crap foreveryoung!!! Fantastic pieces everyone!! Whats cool, is we are not afriad to show our first pieces!!! Im lovin that!!
Awesome work ForeverYoung. Don't worry, its like riding a bike. You never forget! LOL
Thanks for the kind words, but that leads to another possible problem... I haven't ridden a bike in 15 years... I may have forgotten how to do that as well. LOL
I'm sure you still can do that too! LOL
Apart from a ton of lines, daggers, dots and all that silly yet important stuff I've only painted 2 pictures so far.
First ever proper (sucky) attempt :
Feeling encouraged, I spent a lot of time and painted my second, last so far painting:
It was from a reference and I mixed airbrushing with traditional brushes.
So just two to start with... and can't find the time to get more in.... saying that now that I got the airbrushing station upstairs I got no excuses.
keep it up......
first was a yr or so ago when i first got my Master g44...didnt have a clue but framed it anyway...net is recent...
i keep wiping clean on the "grotesque" and repairing what i dont like...
