Hi, dos any one know of any tutorials for brushing "worn" paintwork. I mean the sort of paintwork that has seen a hard life rather than ripped or scratched.

I tried myself with a piece of overhead projector film i burn small random holes in with a soldering iron, but it looked too false ... any ideas ?

Normally you would put a base colour down and then the desired colour. Then its a case of sanding the top coat off to get the amount of wear that you want. You see this a lot with rat rods where they lay a rust or red oxide colour down and then paint over it, rub the top colour off and it looks like the rust coming through in places.

cheers, will that work for the sort of fade you see when colours are in sunlight?
