Does the little ball or knob, whatever you call it, come off? The reason I ask is I got a new needle which I believe is a conversion needle that doesn't have said ball/knob. Don't wasn't to try to remove it until I am sure you should. Thank you in advance and have a great day!

No the ball does not come off. It is there so that you can tug on it for quick flushes. If your needle came without it, then it is either the wrong needle or or broke/fell off.

Correction. The ball is for easier removal. You still tug on the needle chuck for flushing. It will work without it but it is meant to have it on.

Thanks AndreZa figured out I bought the wrong replacement needle. Having trouble with consistent flow so I'm going to try a new needle and head assembly to see if that works.
