Am I fine to soak my h&s evolution 2024 nozzle in 4008 restorer by createx to break down dried paint? I would then clean out with dental paper points. Thank you.

Hello,

I've never used 4008 so I can't really answer your question. But: What kind of paint? I usually use lacquer thinner but then most of the paint I use is automotive lacquer. For acrylics I usually use IPA.

Thanks,
Ismael

Definitely need to know what paint.
Restorer has always been my go to with the Iwata nozzles BUT haven’t tried on the new 2024 titanium nozzle.
Is the nozzle totally blocked ? Or just a little blocked.
You could dab the paper point in the restorer and work it around until it clears the blockage.
Give it a good rinse in some demineralised water after

@DaveG - any insight as to what would be best to clear the blockage in the titanium nozzle, I know they’re not bomb proof

you can cook the Ti nozzles until all paint residue is burnt off (just like a self cleaning oven,) and not hurt them. Now, I don't recommend that at all, just saying - they will handle any solvent used in airbrushing, or painting without issue.

That said, the Evolution has the Brass nozzle. They can be soaked in Restorer for long periods of time without issue. Paper Points are excellent for cleaning after soaking. Lacquer thinner or acetone are also very good on paper points for cleaning.
