A generous Aerograph

Mac-Valve Maestro!
This forum is a great community, I’ve met lots of very nice people here and support and generosity flows freely in this place. Here is one such story. Not long after I started posting here @RK Ink and Focus reached out to me to ask if I still needed an aerograph valve (i’d bought an old Aerograph which I couldn’t use as it was missing its valve). He then offered to send me not just a valve but a whole airbrush to go with it. He didn’t want anything for it, it was just Richard being really nice to a new guy.

It needed a repair to the handle and I thought i might be able to manage that. When it arrived though it wasn't long before I somehow broke the delicate needle chuck threaded part. Oh no!

Nowhere sells these old parts. Richard kindly offered to have a go at making a replacement. This is a really intricate part, with a hole for the needle running all the way through and tiny threads held on by a whisker, and at the other end thin metal to slot into the trigger mechanism, so it was no minor undertaking but he did an unbelievable job of it. I really think it's amazing what Richard achieved here to save this brush.

What’s more, while he was at it he fixed the handle too and sent it back to me all fixed up and looking really fantastic! Had I fixed it it would have looked nowhere near as good! I'm really grateful you did it instead.

And here is how it sprays. Pretty good, I'm sure you'll agree!

Thank you Richard!
