Mac-Valve Maestro!
Picked up this old model C Aerograph, stamped with Burdick’s name in the handle. Not too many of these about. I haven’t had to do anything to it, it arrived in this pretty fantastic state.
It is bigger than a standard model a. This was designed for lithographic work, oil painting, decoration, pottery, stencil work etc.
It’s pretty big, but with a standard size valve. The model seems to have been available pretty early, from about 1900, this one isn’t as old as that. Age is tricky to determine with this but I think this one is probably about 1920.
Pretty impressed by how it sprayed first time. The leather diaphragm works perfectly and the trigger feels great, the limiter very smooth. I’ve not seen the need to take anything apart. You can remove the big cup and use it like an A cup.
