AndreZa is right - but it depends on whose wall your going to paint.
If it's outside - then, yeah - go with the cans, but if it's in your place you can use most airbrushes and compressors to work with.
Of course, if noise is a factor, try and be as quiet as possible - it does help you work.
I used to use a store bought semi industrial one that would scare hell out of you every time it kicked in, but since then, I made one from an old refridgerator compressor and use it inside with no problem.
Even my cat has no issues with it.
