Hello friends!! I was recently asked to airbrush a large BBQ smoker for a good friend of mine. Since all of my artwork thus far is on paper, canvas, and wood, and normally kept indoors, I have a few questions on this project. I have always used Wicked paint. Will Wicked hold up to the normal operating temperature of 300 degrees and withstand the elements of the outdoors? Is there anything special I should to for the initial prep work? Will there need to be some sort of finish coat put on or will just the paint be sufficient? Thank you in advance for any answers and advice!!!

You will need high temp engine paint.
Wick and even standard clear coats will not hold up to the high temps.

But High Temp engine paint or header paint will.

Header paint has been known to blow apart and peel on some hot running engines. A chevy 350 runs at 190-210 f. Some imports even higher.
It would have to be high heat a/b paint with some sort of clear thats also h/h.
This is interesting....im gonna follow this one close...
