are candy dyes and pigment paste compatible?

I accidentally mixed black candy dye to red and blue pigment paste from exotic colors. can i still use without any problems?

should be able too if the exotic colors and the candy are in the same system . IE water based candy can mix with water base pigments paints and same with urethane system
I mix candy 2o with wicked colors all the time the pigments color act as the carry and makes a richer color.
