Hey Guys I understand the why and all that. However I have this piece and I cannot for the life of me get the highlights in to bring it life... if it were paper obviously I would be using paper for white.

I tried a touch of yellow in my white and the results just come out dull on my test pieces. If I clearcoated and then used my white would i be able to come back with my highlights? HELP! Best plan of attack.
Grey/silver and black are the only colors.

What is your surface Nada? Maybe a barrier coat and an opaque white is the way to go, if you can't erase back.

Is the stool wood. plastic or metal?

you can clear it then make a whole new layer have done that on a Harley before and it worked great

Wood Stool but base layer is enamel paint. Thought I could clear THANK!
