Blurring a Previously Painted Image

    Greetings. I would like to make a painting I have appear blurred/hazy à la Gerhard Richter. Does anyone have any experience in the method?

    bit harder with an image you already have completed, as you will need to color match what is already there, but freehand airbrush is a shoe-in for that type of look. There will be no short cut learning proper technique with the airbrush before tackling it, though. That soft, blur, out of focus look is what the airbrush excels at.
