As the title says. I'm soon be perching one of the two to start my first project in years and I would like pretty much a review of both. Is one better than the other and is a specific brand better? I am using CI paints mostly but also would like to try India Inks (Bombay to be precise). Also is there and do's and don'ts with these panels. I literally have null experience w/ any of them. Thanks.

I use claybord regularly, the paint absorbs into it a little but its an easy surface to use erasing techniques on too, just don't be too heavy handed or you'll just put deep marks in it.
Gesso board is very similar, more just a different brand name. There are tutorials on here somewhere on making your own gesso'd boards if you are inclined to take that route

Here in the Netherlands there are 2 completely different surfaces.
clay board is smooth.
A gesso board is just like canvas, but glued to a hard surface.
