Hey PJV, If you were certain what paint you used you could try the thinners that are specific to the paints but I think it would be a long job. However the easiest way is to use some acetone or some 2k thinners, that stuff doesn't care what paint you've used and I have used both in the past when i've left paint in the cup for a while or when I've brought a 2nd hand airbrush off eBay. As per usual, if you want to soak the front end make sure you remove any seals if you can, you can drop some in the cup and leave it for a while, use a semi firm brush or an old tooth brush to clean in the cup. Wash out with water afterwards. You will probably have to do it a few times. when you think its clean enough try shooting some thinners or acetone through the airbrush, be aware you should mask up for that bit or aim it outside.

Sorry to hear you've been ill, but happy your well enough to start again and be able to come home to the forum, we got your back here.

I agree with Lee, the easiest way is probs 2k thinners. Then If using createx, use the 4012 reducer, and also squirt a few drops through after cleaning at the end of a session to keep things squeaky clean.

As for your health issues, I found picking up an airbrush back is the best therapy ever. When you need to get out of your own head, and away from the stress of the world, pick the airbrush up and immerse yourself in painting. It gives you respite from it all for a while, and when you come back to reality you feel calmer, and ready to face things better. Hope you feel well soon.

Being that I love airbrush and fishing I feel we have a good deal in common. Life is precious and a gift from God, do not waste it! If you would like You can private message me and we can chat. I too have had issues with sickness and dealing with cancer among many other ailments.

Use airbrush restorer by Createx and soak the head and nozzles. You can soak the front end of the body, but do not submerge it. Also remove any O rings because they will swell.
