When working on helmets, gastanks, cars, etc, what kind of clear coat do you recommend?
I have some Finish 1 FC720 urethane clear with hardner and reducer, has anyone used this?
Sorry for all the questions, eager to learn all this!!

I just used finish1 on those softball helmets, very brilliant shine i didnt even buff them. But yes your going to want a 2 stage clear on anything automotive, takes gas spills etc.

I used the 710 i believe the 720 is their ultimate clear. And for further info, i sprayed with a 12 dollar harbour freight detail gun.

I see they still offer it. Will it work with their airbrush kit compressor like this one?

It sounds like just what I need to shoot clearcoat. Research on using an airbrush for clear is contradictory. Yes you can, no you shouldn't, I do it all the time, well aren't you special, etc.

No an aibrush kit compressor is nowhere near powerful enough to run those gins. Also you really want a tank type compressor no matter what.
