correcting errors

using auto air on a helmet...if you get overspray on another color what is the easiest way to correct, can you lightly sand area...also, i painted a color that i did not like, i sanded off reapplied airborne sealer and then new color...that sound good....i have tried alcohol,varsol, water, 4012 auto air rducer to get overspray off but not a good idea...

Lightly sand if there's texture, then paint back over it.

Maybe grey scotchbrite, thats a light abrasive
