Hi all, I have an old Paasche VL airbrush which i am trying to connect to a Gahhleri compressor. Can someone help me figure out what type of adapter i might use to connect the two?

This is the female fitting that's supposed to connect to the compressor. It measures about 1/2 inch, measuring the diameter from the outside of the threads across. The threads look to be about 1/16 in. apart.

But the male fitting on the compressor looks like this (sorry for terrible photo.) It measures 3/8 in across diameter, measuring from the outside of the threads and the threads themselves are only 1/32nd of an inch apart.

I don't really know the proper nomenclature for screw thread fittings like this, so i can't search for the correct adapter with confidence. Could someone please tell me what an adapter like this is called so that i can get my airbrush up and running before i shell out for a new one? Thx!!

I think You will need something like this

Also, consider popping into the introduction section and telling us a bit about yourself :)

It's possibly a 1/4" bsp on the hose and 1/8" bsp on the compressor. search the measurements on those fittings and see if that looks right...

Then you need a reducer with 1/4" male to 1/8" female if they are correct.

The female fitting on the air hose, is it too big or too small to fit the compressor? Are you close to a decent hardware store?
