Disassemble Iwata NEO air intake parts

I own a Neo Iwata brush and I would like to remove the air intake parts to give it a good clean in my ultrasonic cleaner.

Here is a link for the schematic.

Look at page 4

I have to completely remove the part number 15. I tried and it's impossible it's really tight.

I'm thinking to use plyers and a piece of cloth to not damage the brush...do you have an advice on how unscrew it?

I think it's possible but it really hard. I'll will try to unscrew it with plyers.

It looks like it's made in one piece

If I succeed to unscrew it, is it a good idea to put a little bit of Iwata oil on the parts once cleaned?

Be careful not to lose the tiny red o-ring that is sitting on top of the air-valve. You really shouldn't have to take the entire valve apart and immerse it in any cleaner. This area should have no paint in it at all. Have you had paint leak behind the trigger?
