C25D68F7-C378-49BB-B9BD-447FD480FD8E.jpeg spent a couple of nights doing this, I’ve got a bug and just want to be a student for a few days!
This is actually an epic undertaking, anyone thinking about purchasing it, I’m half way through, it’s all about the texture so it’s been a mono work upto now. Very easy to get lost in all the details! Looking forward to working on the iris a bit more!
The kit comes with a massive stencil! It is truly a work of art in itself! Don’t worry, it doesn’t paint the pic for you! And I’ve already gone too dark in some areas! Luckily I can get erase and repaint :)

Fantastic! I'd wondered about those Dru "In a box" courses. Just don't have time (or to be honest the skills yet) to justify attending the actual live classes in person.
Your progress so far looks great! If you were making a picture of an actual person, I'd be telling you to have pity on them and give them some moisturizer. That dry skin has to be uncomfortable lollol

I’ve done all the kits up to this one, and while they’re not cheap the tips you learn are priceless. I’m still on the fence with this one, I’ll probably pull the trigger though.

If you want to try out Dru’s method of painting, I would suggest the eye kit :)

It’s by far the hardest! A lot of information and ideas for approaching mono textures :)

I’m feeling that too! Aussie dollar doesn’t help either :(
From the video it looked all about the stencil but I can assure you, there is a lot of work here!

You think the Oz$ is bad, wait til you see the ZAR. That kit, without shipping is equivalent to the monthly payment on a car.

That's really looking wonderful. Wish I wasn't a one man show at home :( I'd have more time for painting

Thanks, can you set a little space to work out of so you don’t have set up and strip down? Or maybe you have!! And it’s just time!

Oh the issue is definitely time. I have a space all set out for my hobbies in the "futility" room. But with work, two old dogs and two ancient rabbits to take care of, cooking, and the house/yard work, well there's been little time left over for the hobbies during the warm season. I have been painting, just not with an airbrush. Downstairs needed some fixing up and I've been discovering that at 58 years old, I just can't dash through stuff like I used to.
