erasing technique.

This is going to sound like a daft question but here goes anyway... I have read quite a few topics and seen a couple of videos using the eraser pencil to great effect, but what is not clear to me is...

Do you erase when the paint is wet or dry ?
Little bit of both really mate, generally unless you are hammering it down, paint dries on contact with the paper, and erasing is a technique which lends itself to working in light layers, erasing after each layer of paint....however dry and cured are 2 different things, paint tends to cure after 24-48 hours and once it is cured it is very difficult to erase
