A few days ago I received my new Badger 105 Patriot. It has an extra tip in a container marked "F". How do I determine the size of both tips?

If you got the 105-1 model, they are both fine. But the fine is not very fine. It's about equivalent to 0.4 in other brands.

is one of the tips slightly smaller allowing easier access to the needle tip? If so good for you, just be careful not to bend the tip, picking paint off the needle with the other is a pain.

Oh! I was thinking the end of the brush. A new aircap is available , making removing tip dry easier, yours is a protector for storage most likely.

You are talking about the nozzle. The patriot comes with two fine nozzles. One is a spare.
