First impressions of the Harder Steenbeck Evolution 2024 is pretty impressive.

Regulating air flow with the trigger is something I have not gotten down much. Badger airbrushes seem to be on or off. I tried it with my Eclipse and it was a really interesting technique. Keeping that same pressure as I move through the trigger arch is really tricky for me.

The Evolution seems like a great use of air control. A 0.25 nozzle is not super tiny hopefully it will better suited than the 0.45.

Appreciate the extra spring. My Olympos 200-B should arrive on Monday. It will be great to be able to A B the difference in trigger spring.

I'll send you set of springs and seals for that brush. They make a BIG difference in feel. That right there is still my top pick from H&S. I just love working with mine.
I got the package today. This will be a fun little project for this weekend. I cannot trust myself during the week. I know I will loose myself trying things out. Then look up at the clock and realize I should have been asleep three hours ago.

Is the little vial filled with that clear poly grease?

Definitely going to hold onto those. I remember seeing one of your posts somewhere. You put a nozzle with some cleaner and a little air bubble in the vial. Then put it in a sonic cleaner. Had a sonic cleaner for a while but was nervous putting an airbrush in it. But that nozzle idea was brilliant and I would have never thought of it.

Yes, the vial is the urea grease. A little bit is all that you need. I like to put just a tiny dab on a fingertip, and rub the o-rings with it prior to installation. I have a drawer full of those vials, if you want a few more just let me know - I don't think I will use them all in 20 years, but they were dirt cheap that way. The other vial is a spring that should work in most Japanese brush air valves.

Ok, will give that a try. Never really tried lube in my airbrush. A good over from my work where feel helped diagnose problems with surface finish and bad bore diameters.

You were not kidding about the difference in feel. The trigger is so much softer now. Controlling air is so much easier with the soft triggers initial pressure required. I tried putting a softer needle spring in but it felt weightless. The press and pull pressure are much more even. That is what I liked so much about the Olympos F-2 where it felt much more natural when both were in sync rather than on being much stiffer than the other.

Put a much thinner and softer o-ring on the trigger. This was always something I tried to achieve with my guitars. Something that just felt right when holding it making it more a natural part of you rather than a tool you adapted yourself to.

Looking at the Facebook post. The original needle bushing is just there to hold the new o-ring in place and does not need to seal anything?

correct - I usually use a toothpick pressed into the front of the original telfon seal to ream it out just enough to let he needle pass through without feeling any resistance. When you first install the o-ring, you may not feel it - but try the brush a little. If you have any leakage from the seal, just tighten it a little.
