How do you tackle it Mick? When I was teaching on the bikes if needed I'd do the point and stare. Then they would know they were in for it... So if I see you giving me the point and stare I know you're coming to clip me round the ear.

I'm more excited than nervous. I don't give a crap really. All I can do is learn, meet new people and have a laugh I'm not nervous about the painting one bit as I'm excrement so there's no point putting unrealistic pressure on myself to hope to be good. I just hope to see an improvement in my stickmen.

Are we allowed to boo Mitch and throw things at him??? :)

I guess I'm the same, more excited than nervy, my problem is I put pressure on myself, I've just got sit back, paint and enjoy, whatever happens I'll learn something to take away and improve with.
I'm looking to meeting Kev and Mitch again after last time finished with very flimsy limp wristed hand shake which had to be re taken to man it up.
I'm hoping that there's a little socialising down the pub afterwards too.
It'll be good... Really looking forward to it.

No one has any need to be nervous. I'm not interested in the class getting a perfect result across the board, i'm more interested in seeing people push their own limits, filling the knowledge gaps and coming up with their personal best. As long as everyone sees a significant/ decent improvement in their own work then i'll be happy. I know the formula i'm imparting makes it extremely easy to learn how to airbrush, but you have to combine that knowledge with practise. After the course if you create an artwork you're unhappy with at home, you'll have the knowledge to know why and diagnose which aspects of your airbrushing need improvements.

Real learning comes from a persons ability to identify their own mistakes and ensure they don't repeat them. :triumphant:

I'm clenching my bottom with excitement!
I'm definitely looking forward to throwing some stuff at Mitch whilst he's trying to paint.

Hope Mitch is a complete slavedriver, (image may be slightly compromised if he turns up in his spandex...) and works your fingers to the bone. I'm not bitter. Not. At. All. LOL. Hope you all have the best time, looking forward to seeing what you all get out of it. Just remember put the alcohol in your face, and the paint in the gun, doesn't quite work if you get them mixed up.

So, I had a moment today when it all came together and I started using the airbrush effects naturally to make shapes in my artwork.

    It was just like this:

just want to extend my thanks to Mitch for a great course, and Mick for being such a gracious host and everyone else who attended the course.

I did wonder if i was wasting my money, considering how i really did think my skill level was way below that which would be needed to get anything from the course. I ended up producing something way beyond my comfort level and from looking around the room i imagine everyone there was happy with their end work. I realised that before this course, i really wasn't utilising an airbrush to its full potential but i do now feel i can look at a potential reference in a different light and have the confidence to tackle something i thought was beyond me.

It was great to be around people of all different skill levels, all of whom produced something to be proud of. Hopefully this will be the first of many classes in the UK, if you get a chance to attend the next one its well worth it.

Learned loads on the course, and had a great time with a good bunch of people too. For me the big benefit of Mitch's training is that I reckon I can get to results that I'm happy with *much* faster than before.

    Highly recommended.

As a relative beginner I too was pushed outside my comfort zone, but with Mitch on hand with plenty of demos and advice it was no problem. In fact eveyone came through with a work to be proud of.
Mitch must also be doing something right to improve speed. I actually managed to finish the portrait this time. Normally I'm so slow I have to finish off at home.
One final thing I got out of this course was how to get good and fairly accurate hair. We spent an entire day on it.
Thanks again to Mitch, Mick (the host), and everyone else on the course. A great bunch of people, a great time, and some great advice. Hopefully I made to new freinds too.

    Would definitely recommend.
