So how does this work? Do i start a new thread with my sbs?
That does mean I am in....
If you wish to do a SBS then you can, it’s not compulsory but it does mean you could submit it for Picture of the month if you wish
Lol , I’ve just realized we could have multiple gargoyle submissions for Picture of the month — that’s hilarious
More sbs better for me. Cause I am kinda lost here
My first step will be visit to
I'm planning to pick something very strong, so everything will look pretty.
Or of course post them here!
Thanks for setting this up Jackie, looks like it’ll be fun. I hope you give this one a go Husky.

I know I'm really new around here but I might give this a go. Looks tricky though.
Yeah they sell that weak stuff but I prefer MOONSHINE!! it makes everything better
We don’t get moonshine here, but we have vodka
WOW did I just started this with my own little private challenge? welcome to all who is going to paint this statue and thanks for the link to the high res ref
Yes Ron, this is all because of your thread. You now probably have a few more audience members studying your SBS
I'm gonna try, but this one will be really hard for me. I was practising for t-shirts mostly Dang it, I made so many stupid stuff on this forum, so I will not die if I post a crapy work.
Come on Husky, seems everybody loves you in this forum!!
Yep, but not my work I will need a bunch of help with this one! -.-
Well, you're not going to be the only one, that's for sure!
I'm going to give this a try. Looks like fun
oh boy only reading all the responses on this thread takes up all my time I best get a move on and work on my gargoyle portrait and get you all to work your way trough this challenge
Like @JackEb said you can do it any way you want and there is no wrong or right way to paint this gargoyle in my WIP/SBS I said there are many ways to paint this portrait and I work freehand and use eraser techniques and hand held shields
not everyone can use eraser techniques for various reasons : the paint that is used cant be erased , you never used eraser techniques or the substrate soaks up all the paint and what ever you can think off
for those who wont use eraser techniques or who are not comfortable with only freehand I advice to go for the use of stencils in combination with free hand work
Husky if you do one I will give it a try. Once I remember my password so I can log into my computer and print off the reference. Lol.
well this may be interesting. wish i could go bigger but i can only print on 8.5 X 11 paper. worth a shot i guess. . what is the worse that can happen? now that i finally have my PP done, just waiting to clear coat i need something else to do.
