gravity feed and 'side bucket'

Air-Valve Autobot!
have currently started out with a gravity feed generic airbrush as part of a kit, now starting to feel comfortable with paint thickness, air pressure etc..

If I upgrade to a 'side bucket' version does the air pressure requirement change dramatically as with bottom feed ?

I'm glad I'm not the only one calling it "side bucket". What else does SB stand for anyway.

Not too much if you come from gravity feed. It is all relevant to to medium you are painting. With the Micron and very thin paint, it can be as low as 5psi.

Im just starting off with a bottom feed, but I will no doubt also get a gravity feed for fine work later, but does the bucket not get in the way of what your trying to paint ? if you get what im saying..
thats why i was thinking about the s.b.
cheers rob
