Hi. I am retired, strictly a hobbyist. Have lurked here at the site for a while now (years?), it has been very helpful.
I am experimenting with a variety of "faux" techniques, both conventional (brush&sponge) and with airbrush. Use a mix of Harder+Steenbeck and Iwata equipment (whatever handles well), spraying whatever works for the application (Schmincke Aero Color, Com-Art, Createx, a wide variety of reduced tube colors, etc). Using the airbrush specifically to create faux textures, as well as "shading" and "beveling", via Charles Armstrong-style concentric tape techniques (his Coast Airbrush video is unbelievable).
Looking forward to learning from all of you.
