As far as equipment goes, I used to have a cheap off-brand compressor and two airbrushes, but since they started to pack in I've bought myself a Krome from the Badger Birthday Sale!
The thing that got me into airbrushing in the first place was the infamous evil mega-corp Games Workshop. They seduced me with their plastic kits, and airbrushing seemed a natural step forwards so I could paint faster (and hopefully, with a gradient here and there - better!)
