Hello!!

MikeyDee

Needle-chuck Ninja
Hi everyone,

My name is Mike and I live in Staten Island, NY. I have been painting with traditional brushes using oil and acrylic for a pretty long time and just recently started to get my feet wet with an airbrush. It is a whole different ball game using one of these things. Learning control and shading. I have been practicing on coloring pages trying to get more control with keeping the brush moving and controlling the pain and air. It's coming along. I recently did a painting class with Jeremy Carey and really learned a lot. It was a wonderful experience. I am glad to be a part of this group, to tell you the truth I have been lurking here for quite some time and have learned quite a bit here as well. I was intimidated by all the knowledge here but it's time for me to explore more. I think it's the best way to become better at this. So while this crazy virus has everyone going stir crazy I wish everyone well and hope you of all stay safe. I have attached a fea pictures of some things I have done. I know they are not great but I am happy with my progress so far.

Greetings, I'm in Vancouver BC Canada. It's a great group, super friendly (if a bit crazy) and super helpful, so we're glad you came out of the shadows. Some great work. I am sure you will love how open and friendly everyone is when you reach out.

Hey MikeyDee, I’m glad you’ve decided to step out of the shadows, welcome Buddy. Your background in painting will really help you progress. Having an understanding of light and shadow is such a key thing and already shows in your work. The rest will come with practice. Don’t be afraid to post what you’re working on if you have questions. I’m constantly amazed by how much help can be had through others seeing what you’re doing.
