Hey guys, so I'm totally new at this whole airbrush thing - I do a lot of miniature painting (Warmachine/Hordes) - I've brush painted 3 factions and I'm starting a 4th faction and decided to give the airbrushing thing a shot :)

This is my setup:

Paasche TG-3F - http://www.paascheairbrush.com/discount-class/u/TG-3F
Senco PC1010 Compressor - http://www.rona.ca/en/hand-carry-air-compressor-10595008
Mini air filter - http://www.rona.ca/en/mini-air-filter
A few extra couplers - http://www.rona.ca/en/hose-coupler-73455046--1

I'm noticing though after buying all the pieces and my airbrush arriving in the mail - that the Senco compressor has a quick connect hook up vs a 1/4" screw in.... I am assuming I should purchase a kit like this? http://www.rona.ca/en/coupler-and-plug-set

So basically setup would be (AND PLEASE CORRECT ME IF I'M WRONG!)

Senco PC1010 compressor - Quick connect coupler to 1/4" screw - Into Mini air filter - Male to Male 1/4" coupler - connecting the air filter to the Paasche TG-3F

Would this be correct?

Again, super new at this and I truly appreciate all advice and guidance :) I look forward on joining this community with my growth into my new faction (and I'll post my progress when i get this darn thing going ! ;) )

Have a good evening all!

Hi and welcome, you may find a post in the intro section is best place to start... All the help you need is here and available. You will be dazzling yourself in no time :)

Hi Cryage, Please pop into the introductions section and tell us about yourself.

As for your setup, I have a Tallon and have a 1/8 conversion on the AB. From there I have my 1/8 quick connect and an inline filter then my hose to the compressor. Its all personal preference. You may want to do it different. This is just one option.

Really appreciate it guys ! I'll be sure to make a formal intro post with all the info above as well as talking about more about myself / things I've done / experience , etc :)

1 quick question jord, is the 1/8 conversion necessary ? What does it improve ?

Thanks again !

Hi, Cryage.
The connection you have from the airbrush usually - but not always - determines the air feed hose size.
The thinner the hose, the lighter it is and the less weight you end up holding.
That's all.
Some will tell you that it makes it easier to move the gun around with a smaller hose.
Personal preference, I'd say.
