You are a lot slower than I am , on the site you listed the slowest I got was 2.12 and the fastest was 1.23.
So I have to say it is the servers it goes through to get there.

yes i have been experiencing a lot of troubles, not loading or time outs or simple not correct loading so i had to reload and reload the page several times through.as a matter of fact i could be on the page but not being able to make comments or the replies didn´t work.i thought it was because of the climate that produced blackouts somewhere and affected the internet,or simply that my neighbors were downloading massive amounts of porn.:culpability:

Ulltraz, If you have are having problems typing in text in any field on the forum, that is actually a browser compatibility issue, I have this on other forums and have to log on with another browser, although some of the guys here cured problem by turning off the "WYSIWYG" feature in their settings.

I haven't been on the forum long enough to have anything to compare the current speed to, but today it has sometimes taken a full 2 seconds for a page to load. Which seems slow to me compared to other forums I visit.

Here in the Middle of Nowhere, USA, it's a little slower than some other sites, but noticeably better than before. You're going in the right direction.

Hey Mitch, not so much loading problems for me but i do get kicked out and have to log in a fair bit. No bother for me I just log back in and carry on. nice to see that you are working on it for the others though.

That's pretty much the same results that i was getting DiToni - 8 sec average which is ridiculous.
I've compared it to other vbulletin forums and theirs are running on average 4.5 seconds, you expect slower load speeds with this much script to process - take the airbrushtutor.com site for example and load times are around 1.5 seconds, that's pure html really.
We are upgrading to a higher server, there'll be no interruption to the forum as I believe it's basically just them allocating more usage to us. Was supposed to happen within 24 hours so i'll contact them shortly:)
Cheers for the feedback guys, it's the truth that hurts but is often the most helpful!

Hey MB, I've been spread pretty thin lately. I still paint quite often, but mostly just keeping myself busy and keep the muscle memory moving forward. I creep in and check out a post or two every now and then, lol.

Okay some improvements have been made to the speed, you should notice a difference, however we're going to have to keep heading in the same direction. Just wanted to let everyone know we're working on it :) if anyone has any problems with the site accessibility (mainly if it's slow - then please contact myself to let me know location etc and we'll work towards resolving it. There are several steps to take from here and we'll begin with the first!

    Really !

The slowness must be at my end then. I will have BT check my broadband.

I don't know if there is actually any truth in it, but I have heard that BT is the worst to have for internet, all my family moved ages ago to sky or some other one

I have just switched for KPN to UPC here in Holland and that has made a difference at my end.

But them others rent the lines from BT ....So catch 22 good buddy.

It's exactly the same here, the others here rent form KPN, but it's still quicker with UPC, perhaps KPN and BT should explain how that's possible, I find it strange that I have internet 4 times faster and HD telly for €4 lees than KPN, and by KPN the telly is standard and dependent on an internet connection, so no internet, no telly.

Not me, don't even have a BT line to my house, it's all cable.

My loading times here are once again very very slow, and it's only on this site, I think you've fixed it worse Mitch, lol

Seriously, I think while you are still ironing stuff out there will be little ups and downs here and there, but I can live with it.

I would have to move to a cable area to get cable, it will never come to my village :-(

Mitch, has been a problem for me for a bit now. I figured it was due to my iPad. It's an older one, actually the first generation. The problem I have been having is I keep getting booted from the forum after several visits to different areas. I downloaded the Tapatalk but do not like the display nor the graphics. So I disregard that app and continue to use the forum even with the CONSTANT pop ups for that app. I post once or twice then get booted even though it still shows me as signed in. Frustrating but I figured it was my issue and not yours. Soooo I post one or two and get booted if I spend too much time on any one then I have to start over again. I spend ALOT of time on iPad trying to use the site but, one of the major reasons I have lessened my time. Frustrating but figured it was my older iPad. Sorry for repeating ......I got booted twice while typing?
