Yep, you got it.
The rollers at West Marine are 1/8th knap. Really the most important thing is that it's small cell foam, any marine foam roller should be.

Ida probably just went with regular rust oleum just for the money aspect but ..... Marine shouldn't hurt.

What happens if I add more of the Majic accelerator then suggested?

It'll dry too fast. Which increases the chance of your next coat wrinkling the paint.
