So I gave it a try and did this : 1 2

I think I've messed it up with this red lights and clouds.
But that was fun to paint it :)

I can't believe the stuff I've done. I did this in 1995. Look how out of wack the shadow are on the plane. And that is a not even a space ship but a De Havilland Vampire from the '50s.

I was pondering what to practice last night, I haven't practiced on black much, so I decided on the space scene.

Some stars, comet, a few planets, a moon, nebula and a spiral galaxy.
My favorite part of this was the spiral galaxy, that was was done freehand with the basic shape from dagger strokes, then small figure 8's to great the cloud like texture on it.

Thanks for Looking.

I would love to try this. I enjoy space scenes and think this would be a good lesson.

I can't seem to fund the reference files in these forms or the tutor site. Where should I look?
