Soooooooooo, I had 2 needle caps cause I have 2 eclipses. And I had one Iwata crown cap. So plan was to cut one needle cap and make it Split needle cup, like you can see on few places where are quite expensive, or if they are cheap I would go broke -.- with shipping if I would order just that. It's not cost effective to order just one little thing in my case.

Plan was to use engraver which I got as a gratitude for a favor from a guy which engraves gold. I left that engraver at my old mans house quite a long time ago and I never used it. So I needed to buy some little cutting thingies like you can see on this picture.

Screw was used so that needle guard won't move and bolt like you can see on this picture. There is a little cutting thingy used also here.

30 pieces of those little saw thingies was 2.5 euros, 3 went to hell, cause it was first try and the reason was probably the luck of feeling. On second try not one went to hell. So 27 left for later use. Unfortunately my old man couldn't find engraver which I left at his place(he got to many tools disease) so drilling machine was used instead...

Before any cut was made, needle guard was on airbrush and I marked the parts which I wanna keep, so I don't have issues later when putting it On, and I would be in a situation I would need to use some seals or whatever to get good position while having it on airbrush.

here is comparison from left to right: Iwata needle guard, Iwata needle crown, and needle guard which was cutted

not bad for a first try, but I felt it was quite short

SO I sad , what the hell, I'm gonna destroy my crown cap and I don't care. If everything won't be, like I wanna, I pay that friking shipment....Here is the result:

And here is how it's on my airbrush:

Good enough for me. :) It's called: Huskies 2 evil ears listening if something will crack lol

I found crown caps for ‘Veda’ airbrushes fit the Iwata brushes and are cheap enough to buy by the handful and practise without fear of destroying a lot of money.

that is a great idea mr.micron

it is usuall called 'remay cloth' and comes in rolls
remay is used in the horticultural industry as either a frost-blanket or insect-inhibitor
it is about 1/1000th the price of dryer sheets (7' x 25' costs $17 here),
and contains no harsh chemical fragrances/fabric softeners

this should be readily available anywhere, even slovenia,
check your local gardening supply center
