My pressure high but i press trigger too little, i'll try lower pressure.

Edit: with 15-20 psi, i'm having problems with atomization, my paints looks like point art.

Those spats at the beginning means the there is paint in the nozzle. This can be because you either dit not paint off completely at the last stroke or your nozzle is dirty and the needle is not shutting the paint off completly.

You're not suppose to press the less for less air. If that is what I understand. You always give full air and regulate the air with a regulator. If it is grainy at lower pressure, you need to reduce more.

Createx illustration has it's own reducer illustration does not play well with other create products. The w500 will work well with wicked or wicked detail.

I read in a different that that createx stopped making the illustration reducer and for people to use the 4011 and 4012 instead. It was in this thread. Not sure how true that is, I've never used the illustration colors, though I do want to order some and give them a go.

the illustration paint is developed to suite Dru's needs and as you stated he is not a free hand painter and with his buffered paint techniques he multi layers his paint to get max saturation so I can see why the illustration paint wont work for people like me who dont work with opaque paints and mainly use freehand techniques
I'm shure you have written this somewhere, but what paint are you using?
