I almost forgot to mention, that whilst having an awesome time with Mitch and the gang at the KKBO last week end, my even more awesome wife snuck off and came back with this for me......

Yes it is a beautiful Custom Micron CM-C+....whoop whoop!!!!!!
I fricken love this thing(and my wife) I just took it out of its lovely red presentation box put the paint in and away we went, it is awesome and just works as you expect a Micron to work. I have used a CM-SB before on the Dru/Marissa courses but this one just feels even more perfect in my hot little hands, the mack valve at the front just aids control and also helps to hold it with two hands when you go in for really close detail!
Did I mention the detail! It has the stock .23 needle and the detail I'm pulling is insane, more so than the .2 on my other brushes, I think the thing that hit me the most is the confidence the Micron can give you because you know it's just gonna do what it's supposed to do! I know I am very lucky to get one of these and it was also £50 cheaper at the show so a great deal, so it's good to be in the Micron club at last.

Apologies for my smugness :)
Kev

Congratulations, man. Both on getting the new airbrush, and in finding a wife cool enough to give you one. Now, however, you're spoiled for all other airbrushes. lol. It is amazing how a .23 micron can spray finer lines, more consistently, than a .15 tipped Infinity (or any other brush I've ever used, for that matter).

welcome to the club bro....one thing i learned is spray very thinned paint through it and use it for detail and and intricate work,,,save you thicker paint for the heavier brushes... good luck you will love it. lol smug ass clown...i happy for you.

But yes the Micron is a great brush not to see what you can do with it:D

Nice!!!! Now paint something!! You only show us 3 pieces of work a year, lol!!

Ha ha you are right Josh mate but I have turned a corner after the KKBO and Mitch's help, I realised that saying that because I have a day job, then come home, have dinner never enough time to paint blah blah blah! Now I will be more disciplined and focused on trying to get at least 8 hours painting in every week, keeping a log so I know how much I have done.
It's very easy to just sit down, put the TV on or 'watch a movie' because I'm to knackered to pick up the airbrush, I bet there is a lot of people doing exactly the same thing, the only thing stopping me painting is me! By not picking up the brush very often I have lost all my confidence in my abilities, I look at the Fredo frog, Ella's portrait and others and think 'I did that so why can't I do it again'.
Time to get off my arse and stop complaining that I never have time to paint, you have to make time if you want to get better as an artist.....in fact let it be known that from this point on I will be posting at least one new painting on here a month and any other 'I don't have time to paint' geezer wants to take up that challenge then come on board. Maybe I will start a section that you can take on the challenge to help push yourself to complete!
I'm just finishing the leopard from the tut which I started at the KKBO so that will be the first:)

Thanks people and yes the Micron is soooooooo sweet!

Hear ya loud and clear buddy!! I wasn't meaning it in a bad way. Jut meant that if there ever is anything that would get the mojo flowing it would have been the booth with Mitch and that sweet little gun that you have there..... I also hope that tony doesn't have a pick of fez holding your gun :0
You can and will produce that great work I know it and I am glad that I have one of your pieces in my household :)
Can't wait to see what is in store for the future!!

Another couple of photos and i'll have the money for one :)

I can confirm that kevs new tool is a nice bit of kit, you should have seen his face when he walked up to the table holding it like it was an offering to the gods. :) He is indeed one lucky blokette but it's really a replacment for what he lost in the op :)

A gun for a gun??? Janie's got a gun???? :D

You lucky bugger, although if your mrs reads this and realised that when you were declaring your love, she came second, she might just take it back Lol. If she needs to rehome it, I would be more than happy to adopt. Can't wait to see what you can do with it!!!!

whoop whoop I can confirm I will be having a CM-SB for Christmas compliments of the wife. Can't wait. No op for me though. :)

I'd be sweating buckets if my better half did that. There would be a corresponding expansion of her side of the wardrobe. Lol
Nice paint stick though.
