Inter-coat Clears for Automotive Applications

I usually paint on foam board or something of that sort. My "technique" involves a detailed underpainting followed by an inter-coat clear and then tinting with transparent colors. For my inter-coat clear I use Krylon Low Order Clear (matte). I want to start doing some automotive work so I wanted to know if I can use the Krylon product I use now as an inter-coat clear or if I need to use something else keeping in mind that after tinting, the artwork would be cleared with an appropriate UV protective automotive clear.

Also, where do I enter my information concerning airbrushes and paints I use?

I already did some custom work but now started to just use the createx trans base for that case and it feels much safer while masking etc. I like it and work with Autoair and Etac paints.
