Is there a database of airbrush needle gauges for diffent manufacturers out there?

With so many out of production airbrushes in peoples collections. I was curious if someone out there ever got a pair of calipers out and made a list of what gauge wire each manufacturer used to make their airbrush needles.

That way it would be easier to source a contemporary source for replacement needles.

The needle taper is not such a big deal as I doubt many companies make a shallow taper like Olympos did back in the day anyways.

I seem to remember that the vast majority are 1.2 mm. In fact, I think that a stainless steel rod for TIG welding, size 1.2, could be ideal for making needles. I think Dave has mentioned it on some occasion, and I seem to remember that you could adjust the internal gasket so that the O-ring adapts. to the diameter of the needle making it more or less tight.
