Can you help me ? ^^ do i have to dissolve the ring with detergent or something ?
Why does it work anyway ? Doesn't the airflow supposed to arrive from there ?

Hi, Ben. Welcome to the forum.
We will do the best we can to help you.
Some additional information from you would be helpful.
1st, how about telling us where in the world you are located. At least the country. That helps us find spares for you locally and sort out any language barriers.
2nd, what type / brand of airbrush is this? It looks to be one with a mini compressor attached, but I could be wrong.
3rd, when you say 'joint', are you speaking of the black area between brass ( gold colored ) peice and the body of the brush? A rubber like O-ring perhaps?
Help us help you.
Again welcome, glad you're aboard.
-Joe

Welcome Ben :)

As Joe has said, more info would be helpful.

Here is how an airbrush works, The green is the air flow and the red is the paint. The pic will also give You an idea of the parts of the airbrush. Can You see in the pic the parts You are having trouble with ?

Hey hello sry i've not presented myself i'm french, currently living in Marseille ,
It's an autolock 30 psi ( probably dropshipped but i wanted something cheap to begin and my finances are low )
When i say joint i mean a caoutchouc O ring thinggy x) and i did put it beetween the body of the airbrush and the gold colored piece like in the picture

I'm also trying to modelize a 3D model of my airbrush but i have trouble to figure how this part is inside my airbrush , i wish i could get the blue print of it, or just open it completely to see whats inside.

i've looks at schema like the one you've posted @Kingpin but i can't figure it out if mine works like the first or the second supposition i made.

It will work like the 2nd one, the air draws the paint out from around the nozzle :)

As for the o-ring, it looks to be in the right place, if it sprays ok, You are probably good to go

if it works like the second one ive fornicateed up i have blocked the air coming around the nozzle with my O -ring :/ or at least a part of it ? I dont understand

yes thank you i will try again :) i want to do a video with my 3D Model where i explain how it works and i need every informations possible aha

Sir i've just succeded to remove it with a fish hook aha but i can't see inside its too small and too deep do you know if there is airbrush blueprint available somewhere on the web with construction details ?

I found this image by doing a google search using the term "how does and airbrush work?" - there is a lot of illustrations and videos to be seen -

On many inexpensive brushes like the one you have, there is generally a "joint" commonly called an O-ring on the nozzle base. They are very small, too.

Put the brush back together without the ring and see if it works :)

you're right but i've found schema like this but in this case for example we don't see the air flow and i can't see the details on the piece that interest me
