Transparent base does not dilute. It only changes opacity. Unless you thin it before hand.

I just meant that Dru doesn't strictly use the CI colors straight out of the bottle. He recommended using water as a reducer if you wanted to. From the Createx site for Illustration colors they recommend 4012 for soft erasing, & 4020 for hard surfaces. I haven't compared them yet, but that makes me think that using 4020 might make it less easy to erase?
 
From what I understand, with the 4012 the base has a delayed cross link, so it's easy to scratch and erase for 72 hours or so before the base hardens completely. With the 4020, it cross links as it dries, so once it's dry, scratching or erasing are like they are with Wicked.
