I'M HAVING TROUBLE WITH MY HP-TH. I HAVEN'T USED IT IN YEARS.
GOT IT OUT OF STORAGE, TOOK IT APART AND CLEANED IT. EVERYTHING
LOOKED FINE. SO, WHEN I WENT TO USE IT. PULLED THE TRIGGER BACK
THE NEEDLE WON'T MOVE. MOVES EASY BY HAND. BUT NOT WHEN I
USE THE TRIGGER. THANKS FOR ANY HELP.

Needle chuck?
If you remove the back handle you see the needle and a little screw that holds the needle that looks like part 1 120 2 on the photo : this is the needle chuck if that part is not screwed on tight only the needle guide will move when you pull the trigger but not the needle

Everything moves as smooth as silk. Except needle. I can pull it back by hand,
but the trigger won't pull it back.
Sounds like something wasn't put back together correctly, I'm not totally familiar with the trigger functions of the TH...
@DaveG do you have any thoughts on this issue ?

Could it be a flow control screw on the end of the brush tightened up too much?

If assembled correctly, it is impossible for the trigger to be moved backwards without it moving the needle chuck. If the needle chuck moves, the needle moves... Recheck the schematic, and make certain you have assembled it in the correct order.
