I have a micron with a four pronged cap But I would Like to cut two of the prong's of I have two questions

First one is how would you hold the cap so you can work on it. I don't think I would like to screw it to my micron to hold it steady.

    Second question
What do you pack the crown out with so the two prongs sit at 6,12 O'clock if you re-tap the crown what is the tread size ?? at the moment My prong's sit at 7,1 O'clock

Mine was made from a cheap chinese knock-off. I bought the whole head as you could not get just the cap. It was worked on the head and it make it much easier to handle. I don't like the prongs to be square at 12 and 6. At a slight angle gives you better view at the needle. So I am using a very thin thread of PTFE tape right up where the theads end on the nozzle cap to stop the needle cap.

you can sand the base of the needle cap down till it is in the position you want it , I used 400 grid wet and dry sand paper give the cap a few passes and put it back on the airbrush to see how it sits and repeated it till it sat just as I wanted

I hold mine on the bamboo stick, it was sanded right to the air cap threads diameter, then the needle protection was screwed on.

You could also fit some thin O-rings to get comfortable.

Mine kinda of 4/10 position, I mean one prong is on 4 and the opposite is on 10. I slightly turn ABs when painting, so it seems it's the best position for me.

I bought an Olympos micron a couple years ago. The seller gave an option for prong needle cap. Funny timing for this thread. I just put it on my CM-C+ today. I have never used it yet. I noticed the k33 has these. The prongs are almost at 12 & 6 on mine.

I also know some people modified this:
    https://www.air-craft.net/acatalog/Iwata-Crown-Cap.html#SID=1409

and they cut off 2 of those prongs. Soooooooooooo, if I am thinking, you could screw this on your airbrush and mark the ones you don't like and cut them off. Just thinking. Don't be mad at me lol

You were to fast for me Joseph with that like. I wonted to edit this: Black devil(that's the name of k33 guard) my cute behind lol 45 bucks damn :D Yea,yea, I'm cheap,so what :D

Didn't thought of using sandpaper on it. Nice insights though.

Lion Art sells this open air cab.
    https://www.lion-art.nl/Open-Air-cap
I have one but I do not use it.
The first thing I do when I use an airbrush is remove the aircab.
And that only goes back when I'm done.

I must add that I do not use a spray out bottle. Most times that I damaged the needle it was against the side of bottle. :depressed:
Now I use old cloths instead of the spray out bottle.

Wanted to get a couple and had my eyes on these for a long time but the shipping costs from Holland isn't worth it. I mean you pay 15Euro for a couple and 27.50 for shippping them... I tried searching elsewhere with no luck... Got to give them a try cause each time I take off the cap, well you know, my hand starts shaking waiting for the accident :D:D:D

I've read a similar thread where he was asked if that's possible but the response was negative cause the letter may be lost...

    That's too bad.
I can understand his point. If it does not arrive, it can violate the store's reputation.

Letter get lost all the time and the buyer will demand either a refund or a replacement. And the replacement will need to be mailed again that cost more and can get lost again. It's a vicious circle.
