Firstly, here is why you always check the needle before You start to strip the brush!
After a quick fettle with some smooth nose pliers it straightened out much better, I will give it a good shaping and polish later.
First job was to fit a few parts from a cheap chinese brush, The crown cap was missing so that was fitted and also fitted an airvalve to turn it into a double action brush, both parts fitted fine
Heres a quick spray test before any cleaning or any more work done on the needle! I will give Her a strip down and clean later
