I spent a while looking at different references for the next piece of work, I say work , it's not , I love it.
Mitch advised I stick to B&W as it help identify shapes and tones better.[IMG][IMG][IMG]

A little more done, again I found the nose harder than the eyes, don't know, suspect it's that there's no room for error on the nose.

I haven't got a clue who it is, it's a hat she's wearing but I haven't highlighted or anything yet. Cheers though

I like it. Is that on a similar type of board to the one we used on the course ?

No this is that illustration board that you can pronounce, scholleshammer or something like that.
It's actually not very good for this sort of thing, too absorbant, doesn't erase very nicely but it'll get there.

Looks good so far. Can't believe you say Schoellershammer (shoelesshummer) is too absorbent. I can scratch and erase all the way back to the white of the paper without damaging it. And I'm only using the 250gsm one and not the thick 1000gsm one. Maybe it's not the 4G then.

I thought this looked like Toyah, but then I am an eighties girl Lol. Looking great, I find noses a challenge too, probably because apart from the nostrils it's usually just subtle shading, suggesting shapes. Surprised you aren't liking the Schoellershammer, but each to their own. What did you use on Mitch's course?

Plain old poster board, slight sheen to it, semi gloss etc but lots of art shops have got there own versions of poster board, so it's just a matter of finding one similar...

Top job! It really has its own style - not artificial, not realistic (if you know what I mean) - great art!!

What hat that damn Aussie done to you lot, lol

Mesmerizing, a beautiful piece ,the eyes are cool and it's the first time I've ever seen blue shift that wasn't ugly, it actually finishes the hair off nicely, and then those lips!!! I won't get started on those.

Top job mate, very well done.

Cheers for that, trouble is, it's not hair, ha! It's one of those Russian fluffy hat things, or a hell of a static build up. Glad you like it. I don't know what to with it now though.
