Good grief - what a saga... you can only use 2k on bikes and tractors (I assume they mean tractor units rather than just farm tractors) - and what do they hope to achieve with that... I suppose it's a volume thing... I'm looking forward to see what comes of it.

update - its a thing...
sparkles over orange look awesome (my own opinion of course)
the sparkles were a lot finer than i thought dont know why i thought they were huge flakes they arn't so that probably helped. looks awesome in artificial lights / streetlights and also in the sun.. all other time the orange look cool anyways.. pics dont pick out the sparkle any where near as good as they are they are holographic effect ones so sparkle all different colours the neon blue they change to looks amazing on top of the orange.. i now have a hell of a lot oif sanding back and polishing to get on with !!!

thanks so much guys been wet sanding it by hand all day today. buffer on it later on should be able to really make it shine. its off up to its first show on friday.

Hi Bex nice job in the end . With regards to having a reaction when using solvent over water based base colours , it is only a used when the waterbased paint is solvent coated if the base coat is not completely dry or has been left in an area where the waterbase can reabsorb moisture I the air .

Id be concerned with rainbow and orange. The blues and greens reflecting orange might look muddy or sandy. Thats why they may have said that. Im thinking the orange color reflecting with the odd colors wont look right. Thats probably why micron said there were layers between the rainbow. Just a guess never used rainbow but im guessing direct on top might not qork well. Id say get small panel and shoot your way and another with extra layers in between before you commit.

A few from the modified nationals this weekend. its First show. (Was on the owners club stand for my make of car ) Can't seem to get airbrushed work onto a main area - but I will keep pushing to get it recognised as a show car .
Was a great weekend .
