micron micron .18 .23 whats the reason or porpoise

just wondering I am giving great thought to getting a micron this holiday i have a Beethoven painting that if i get complei9ted and get what i asked for it could defanitty say its ok to go ahead and get another micron and i definitty belive the little mac valve can be easily adjusted while spraying to get some awesome efects so I guess this thread is for the owners of both air brushes .my guess is that the .23 will just allow spraying fine lines with thicker paint i would like that

I would also think the reasoning behind the larger size in then C & C+ is due to being able to put out more paint, and yes possibly handle thicker paint well. Im thinking automotive here not so much illustration .

I am thinking definatly stick with the .23 I was ging to ask dave if he can swap the head with the .18 but to be honest . when i want to cover my darker colors with a fine white line i use etac efx white with only a slight amount of water and it works fine also i have little trouble working with straight spectra tex white the .23 should handle straight white no problem at all

HOK goes through both sizes just fine. And like ko I hardly use the .18

If you are dealing with David at Coast.. He will tell you the same thing.. You can always add the .18 later It is nice to have around but IMO not necessary I am selling my cm-sb mainly because it does not have the mac valve not only is it handy but it fits better for me Good luck with your new brush they ROCK

I'm still waiting til xmas to see exactly how much xmas cash I'll be getting to make sure I can cover the mortgage on a micron ! Just wondering if you guys buy an extra head assembly also. You can get the cm-c+ for $529 at Coast or for the same price get one with a free hose on eBay. I just don't trust ebay and the shifty sellers especially if they're going to be sending a micron knockoff.

Yes the Mac valve it the bomb!! I hated it when I first got the micron but now I love it and use it a lot..

I have both heads But I can not tell you what I paid it is a secret ...

Yes and most times if you ask to speak to Dave and he is in the office be prepared to have all you questions answered in great and useful detail.
Ryan is also another good one to talk to but Dave trains all his people to answer any question you have so it is all good.

Yeah I haven't ever bought brushes on Eflay yet ! Bought big gun and 5 brushes from coast and 2 from merriartist.com. I buy supplies from Coast atleast once a month but have never talked to Dave or Ryan.

f you get a bad ger krome or sotar on amazon for 60 or 100 dollars rhats fine but do yourself a favor .If you get a micron order it from coast there was to many people last year ordering from other places including my self and getting microns with out test papers not sure why there shipping microns with out them lately it has me nervous like there cutting corners. and thats not good . But at least if you order from a place like coast you know your getting a micron. one last thing the hp side feed looks an awful lot like a mmicron cmsb order a hp side feed from tcp global maybe thel goof up and send you a micron instead lmao

I went for the .23 in my CM-C+ and it pulls insane lines! Also the cup is a designed better to enable you to use just 1 drop of paint, it's an awesome brush plus I love the control I get from the mac valve also. See no reason to get the smaller set yet(not cheap) so yeah start with the .23 and I'm positive you will be more than happy with it....best money I ever spent...well..my wife spent

Told my wife last night what I wanted for Christmas and said I must own one of these microns! She's like hell no, that comes out of your business account. Told her I've only got $400 in there and need to save for real paint supplies. She just had a little fender bender last week which cost her $500 of her xmas money. I say I deserve to spend whatever money I get on business related gear or not. I'm ordering it next week !
